In Chapters 9 and 10 we will use other application servers and execution environments for Java EE applications. One of the tools we will be installing is the open-source edition of the Glassfish 4 application server from Oracle. Version 4 of the Glassfish application server is the reference implementation for Java EE 7.
In Chapter 10, we will also be using the WildFly-based cloud offering OpenShift from Red Hat (https://www.openshift.com/). There, we will use our My-Aktion application as an example of how a Java EE application can be made available in the OpenShift cloud.
